Since the release of my new book, Your Turn: Ways to Celebrate Life Through Storytelling, on October 1st, I’ve received tremendous support and feedback from my loyal readers. In the second half of October, I traveled to San Antonio, and throughout the suburbs of Chicago, to talk about storytelling, healing and the release of this book that has generated such an inspiring response.
This Thursday, December 5th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., I’m thrilled to have the chance to present Your Turn in my hometown of Seminole, Texas at the Gaines County Museum (more information here)! The experience of writing this book has taken me full circle, and I’m so excited to present in Seminole.
This town and the region has a rich history and has been so important in shaping my character. The event will also include a sculpture presentation, photography and other great works that represent the West Texas region. I am thrilled to present alongside authors Tina Slemens and Claude Spence as well. More information about the event is included in the poster below. I hope to see you there.
Additionally, the release of Your Turn has not only led to great speaking event opportunities, but the book has also been covered within the media landscape at length. Since, and even before, the book’s release, Your Turn has been reviewed, discussed and praised by a variety of writers in outlets such as Parade, Kirkus Reviews, Thrive Global and the Houston Chronicle (see all below).
I want to personally thank, and acknowledge the media outlets, and writers, who have included Your Turn in their coverage. It is important to recognize the importance of personal storytelling, and I’m elated that people recognize the simple, yet powerful, messages contained within this book.
For those coming to the event tomorrow, we will see you there! I will be sharing photos and a recap of the event on my website and social media pages for those who are unable to attend.
