Happy holidays to all my readers! I am so thrilled to reflect on 2019 that was truly special and sensational in so many ways. To you, my loyal readers and fans, I owe a great deal of gratitude and well wishes as you celebrate this winter holiday season with your beloved family and friends.
This 2019 year was remarkable, in part, because I was able to connect with new readers, fans, family and friends for the release of my new book, Your Turn: Ways to Celebrate Life Through Storytelling, in October. The book received a host of positive reviews and write-ups in national media outlets across the country. Through social media, e-mail and other communication mediums, I also heard from fans who were inspired by the messages in my book.
The feedback I received from publishing Your Turn was beyond my expectations. It was truly a humbling reception of this book that I have worked on for so long.
Storytelling, and prompting everyone to tell those personal narratives, is one of the most important missions in my life. I was happy that this book made it more accessible, and possible, for some readers to gain the inspiration to put their stories from pen to paper. It not only is important to tell those stories for posterity’s sake; it is also a way of healing that is irreplaceable for someone who loves to write each and every day as a way to better oneself.
As part of writing this book, I also received the opportunity to travel across Illinois and Texas (with my friend, and fellow author, Karen Keilt) to present Your Turn. Because the book is the culmination, in a lot of ways, of my personal stories, it was important to re-connect with the people who shaped my life, and made some of those stories possible.
I hope that you receive the chance to make some memories this holiday season with friends and family. Tell stories to your loved ones that will make an impression on new generations and create new memories that will serve as irreplaceable moments to remember.
